Why Professional Referral Partners Choose The Hive Law

Most referral relationships between professionals are informal. No written commitments. No communication protocol. No way to know if your client had a good experience until they mention it months later.

The Hive Law built this program to be different. Every referral has a defined process. You hear from us within 24 hours of making the introduction. You receive updates throughout the engagement. When the work is complete, you receive a summary of what changed in your client’s plan.

Our Commitment to You

We do not compete for your client relationship. We handle estate planning documents only: wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives. We do not offer financial advice, tax planning, insurance products, family law services, or real estate transactions. What is inside your professional scope stays inside your professional scope.

That commitment is in writing. Every referral partner receives our non-poaching agreement before we accept their first referral. It states exactly what we do, what we do not do, and what we commit to communicating after every engagement.

The Estate Exposure Report — Your Referral Tool

Every partner receives access to the Estate Exposure Report. It is a free assessment your clients complete in under five minutes. The report instantly identifies their estate planning gaps and connects them to a strategy call with Melissa Breyer. You are attributed as the referring partner on every submission.

What Our Clients Say

Frequently Asked Questions

It means we do not cross-sell, do not solicit additional services your client did not come to us for, and do not position ourselves as a replacement for you in their professional network. If your client asks us about investments, tax planning, insurance, or family law during our meetings, we refer them back to you. We put this in writing as a signed commitment before accepting your first referral.

We contact your client within 24 hours of the introduction. We update you when we schedule their strategy call, when the engagement begins, and when the work is complete. At close, we send a brief summary of what changed in their estate plan so you can coordinate any related work on your end.

Yes. Give your client the Estate Exposure Report link. The report is free, takes under five minutes, and produces an instant analysis of their estate planning gaps. It connects them directly to a strategy call with Melissa. Your name is attached to every submission so we know who referred them and can keep you updated.

Georgia Bar Rule 5.4(a) prohibits attorneys from sharing legal fees with nonlawyers. We cannot pay referral fees, and we prefer not to structure the relationship around financial incentives. The program is built on mutual client service and reciprocal referrals. When our clients need services in your professional area, we refer them to our partners. That structure produces more consistent referrals in both directions over time than a per-referral payment ever would.
