The Hive Law is an estate planning law firm in Buford, Georgia. This page tells you what information we collect on this website, why we collect it, and who sees it.
We wrote it in plain words on purpose. If anything here is not clear, call us at 770-710-3422.
The short version
- We collect what you type into our forms, plus basic details about how people use the site.
- We use it to call you back, answer your questions, and make the website better.
- We do not sell your information.
- You can ask us to show you, fix, or delete your information at any time.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a form, take our planning quiz, or book a call, we collect what you type in. That is usually:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your answers to the questions on the form or quiz
- The day and time you pick for a call
If you call us, we see your phone number and when you called. We may record calls or use a tool to take notes on them, so we can serve you well.
Information collected on its own
Like most websites, ours collects some details without you typing anything. These include:
- The pages you visit and how long you stay
- The kind of phone, tablet, or computer you use
- Your general area, such as your city
- How you found us, such as a Google search or an ad you clicked
- Where you click, tap, and scroll on a page
This is done with small files called cookies. They are saved by your web browser.
Please do not send private details through our forms
Our forms are for getting in touch. Please do not type in Social Security numbers, account numbers, or private details about your family or money. We will go over those with you once you are a client.
Filling out a form does not make us your lawyer
This website gives general information. It is not legal advice.
Filling out a form, taking the quiz, or booking a call does not make you a client of The Hive Law. You become a client only when you hire us and put down a deposit for your estate plan.
How we use your information
We use it to:
- Call or email you about your request
- Set up and confirm your call
- Text you after we have talked, to let you know we sent something you asked for
- Send you helpful emails about estate planning, if you asked for them
- Learn which pages and ads are useful, so we can make them better
- Keep the website safe and working
Who sees your information
Our own team sees it. We also use other companies to help us run the firm. They only get what they need to do their job for us.
- Storing the website and keeping it safe: BigScoots and Cloudflare
- Running the forms on our site: Gravity Forms
- Keeping our contact list and passing form entries to it: Keap and Zapier
- Sending our emails: ActiveCampaign
- Running our booking calendar: LetsMeet
- Counting visits to the site: Google Analytics
- Telling us which ads led to a call or a form: Google Ads
- Telling us which Facebook and Instagram ads work, and showing our ads to past visitors: Meta
- Showing us how people use our pages, with short recordings of clicks, taps, and scrolling: Microsoft Clarity
- Playing the videos on our pages: YouTube
Some of the tools we use have artificial intelligence (AI) built in. We may use them to help us sort, sum up, or reply to messages. A person at the firm is always in charge of the work.
We may also share information if the law says we must, or to protect the firm or others from harm.
We do not sell your information. We do not give it to other companies for their own marketing.
Text messages
We do not text you just because you filled out a form. After we have talked with you, we may text you about your own request, such as to tell you we sent the proposal you asked for.
We do not share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their marketing. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to end texts from us.
Ads and tracking
We run ads on Google, Facebook, and Instagram. To see which Google ads work, Google places a cookie when you click one of our ads. Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, also has a small piece of code on our site, called the Meta pixel.
- If you came from an ad, you may see a different phone number on our page. Google gives us that number so we can tell the call came from an ad. The call still comes straight to us.
- When you send a form, we may send Google a scrambled copy of your email or phone number. Google uses it to match your request to the ad you clicked. Google cannot read the scrambled copy as plain text.
- Google keeps a list of people who have visited our site. It may use that list to show you our ads on other websites.
- The Meta pixel tells Meta when someone visits our pages, taps to call us, or sends us a form.
- When you send a form, we also send Meta a scrambled copy of your name, email, phone number, and state, so Meta can match your request to an ad. Meta cannot read the scrambled copy as plain text. We never send Meta your answers to our questions, your plan or price, or any notes.
- Meta keeps a list of people who have visited our site. It may use that list to show you our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
You can turn off ads based on your activity at myadcenter.google.com. You can block Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out tool. To stop Meta from using your visits to other websites for ads, open Facebook or Instagram, go to Accounts Center, then Ad preferences, and turn off activity from ad partners. You can also opt out of ads based on your activity from many ad companies at aboutads.info/choices. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.

If you are a client
Once you hire us, what you share with the firm is protected by the rules lawyers must follow about keeping client information private. Your client agreement explains more. Those rules are stricter than this page.
How long we keep it
We do not have a set time for deleting contact details. If you filled out a form but did not become a client, your details stay in our contact list until you ask us to remove them. We keep client records for as long as the rules for lawyers require.
How we protect it
We use secure tools and limit who can see your information. No website can promise perfect safety. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Your choices
You can:
- Stop our emails. Click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email.
- Ask what we have. We will tell you what information we hold about you.
- Ask us to fix it or delete it. We will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.
To do any of these, call 770-710-3422 or email shawn.breyer@thehivelaw.com.
Children
This website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this page
If we change this page, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
